Teacher Trainee On Teaching Practice Impregnates 24 Girls, Headmistress And Four Female Teachers

There has been uproar as student teacher on teaching practice impregnated 24 girls, headmistress and four female teachers.  THE NATION REPORTERS   reports that a student teacher whose identity is yet to be known has allegedly impregnated about 24 school girls, the headmistress of the school, and four other female teachers in the school. The incident occurred in the Ashanti Region of Ghana at one of the Basic Schools in the Asokore Mampong Municipality. The teacher trainee has been alleged to be a level 400 student-teacher from a popular College of Education at Winneba. It is reported that the incident came out after his relationship with the headmistress went viral in the community.

Bells University Lecturer Shaves A Student’s Hair In Ogun State (Photos)

  Dr. Olunri, a Biotechnology lecturer at Bells University, Ogun State, went an extra mile to caution a student for keeping his hair, IgbereTV reports. According to a source, the student who is in his 200-level was accosted by the lecturer who called on staff of the school to shave his hair. In a video, Dr. Olunri, dressed in a pink native attire can be seen pinning the student to a chair and directing the staff with the clipper on what to do.  The student after the exercise was left with an alien hairstyle leaving students of the school to bemoan the ‘harassment’.

ASUU Protest: Imo Student Says He'll Start Acting Porn If ASUU Strike Continues

As students across the country continue to protest against the ongoing strike, students on Friday in Imo State took to the streets of Owerri to also lay their grievances. Led by various students bodies including National Association of Nigerian Students  ( NANS) Zone F, Nations Union of Imo State Students (NUISS) and SUG presidents of various institutions in the state. A facebook User and one of the protesting students HiSexcellency Allison Golden shared photos of the protest, with him holding a placard with the inscription "If ASUU no call off strike I go act porn !!!".

 Good news *Happy Resumption * Information reaching our informant at team spirit+fire reports has it that The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic(ASUP) has directed its members to resume work on Monday May 30, 2022 following the expiration of its two- week strike. The union said it took the decision following some progress made with the Federal Government regarding its demands. ASUP, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Abdullahi Yalwa disclosed that the government had met four of its demands .

Demands met by the government are the payment of minimum wage arrears for the polytechnic lecturers and the release of a normative instrument for institutional accreditation, a policy document for international standards. Key demands not met, according to him, are the release of the N15 billion revitalization fund, which he said President Muhammadu Buhari approved last year, and the release of a scheme of service. Lagos pupil vomits and dies after he was allegedly flogged by his teacher over homework

  A junior student of Simple Faith Schools, Agbara, Lagos State, has died after he was allegedly flogged by his teacher. Emmanuel Amidu died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Surulere. The victim’s father, Akinola Amidu, claimed that the 12-year-old JSS2 student was flogged by a teacher at school for not completing his assignment on Thursday, May 12, 2022. He said his son started vomiting shortly after the beating and was rushed to a hospital, where he gave up the ghost on Friday, May 13, 2022. The father alleged that the school management was covering up his son’s death and protecting the mathematics teacher, one Steven, who flogged Emmanuel and the rest of the class for failing to do their homework, Punch reports. He said: “I was at home that Thursday because I was on leave. Junior student dies after being stabbed in the breast by schoolmate during a scuffle over an alleged boyfriend (video)

  A 16-year-old student of the Nkwadum D/A Junior High School in the Akontombra District of the Western North region of Ghana has been confirmed dead after being stabbed in the breast by a 15-year-old JHS 2 schoolmate. MyJoyOnline reported that the the teenagers were fighting over an alleged boyfriend when one of them lost her life in the process. Corpse of the dead schoolgirl identified as Akua Kumah, has been deposited at the Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital for autopsy.   The suspect, Francisca Hayford, is reported to be in police custody at Sefwi-Akontombra assisting with investigations.   Assemblyman for Nkwadum Electoral Area, Isaac Etsie, said the misunderstanding ensued between the two students while they were returning from school on Monday May 23. A physician assistant at the Sefwi Nsawora Health Centre, Charles Kwabena Amoako, also disclosed that the victim was brought in dead.  

Five-year-old drowns during swimming lesson organised by his school

   A five-year-old boy drowned during a swimming lesson organised by his school in Ikeja, Lagos. Chidera Eze, a student of the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School, Ogba, Lagos State, went for the swimming lesson at the Ivory Health Club, Ogundana Street, Ikeja. He and other students were accompanied by some teachers and caregivers of the school. During the swimming lesson, Chidera and other students were said to be playing at the tip of the pool when he slipped into it. His father, Anthony, told a Punch correspondent on Wednesday, May 18, that the teachers, caregivers and lifeguards were not aware that his son had fallen into the pool until he drowned. He said: “I dropped my children at the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School on Acme Road, Ogba, on Monday morning, and I went to work. At 10.52 am, I got a call from their headteacher, Mrs Adeola Oladipo, and she told me that my son was involved in an accident and that he had been rushed to the Ikeja Medical Centre. “I rushed d...
