PSG: Neymar speaks out as Mbappe wants him sold

Brazilian star, Neymar has reiterated his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain, amid rumours Kylian Mbappe does not want him at the club. Mbappe became the highest paid footballer in the world when he signed a new three-year deal with the French capital club. And rumours emerged that the 23-year-old Frenchman does not find Neymar helpful at the club and wants the Brazil international sold this summer. But Neymar has now said he wishes to remain at the club since his contract has not yet expired. PSG has already sacked Sporting director, Leonardo, with former Monaco chief Luis Campos expected to be appointed, and the club have been linked with moves for Aurelien Tchouameni and Christopher Nkunku, who are seen as Neymar’s replacements. Neymar is rumoured to be up for sale – a decision which may have been prompted by Mbappe PSG brought in the Brazilian a world record deal of £220million from Barcelona in 2017, but will not expect to sell him for that much.   Ballon d’Or 2022: Close votes, he won it – Thierry Henry reveals player to win award Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has claimed that Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema has already won the 2022 Ballon d’Or after guiding Los Blanco to a Champions League triumph over Liverpool on Saturday night. Benzema was impressive as Real Madrid secured their record-extending 14th European Cup following a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in Paris. Vinicius scored the winning goal for Carlo Ancelloti’s side at the Stade de France. And Henry, a former Barcelona striker, feels like there is no point in casting votes for this year’s Ballon d’Or and should instead just be awarded to Benzema. Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry was quoted as saying the following: “I just wanted to say something to France or whoever is voting [on the Ballon d’Or]. Close the votes. Benzema won it. Bye.”

  Real Madrid clinch record-extending 14th title!!! Real Madrid have done it!!! Vinicius Jr scored in the second half as Real Madrid beat Liverpool to claim their 14th European Cup at the Stade de France in Paris. The Spanish giants claimed their fifth Champions League trophy in nine seasons. Earlier, the game was evenly poised at 0-0 by the halftime with Liverpool hitting the post and enjoying the possession in the first 45 minutes.  There was a 36-minute delay to the kick-off as police tried to hold off people trying to force their way into the stadium. While both teams got off to a cautious start, Sadio Mane came even closer in the 21st minute with a low shot that Madrid goalkeeper Courtois managed to tip onto the post.  Liverpool continued with their high-pressing game with Mohamed Salah testing the Spanish goalkeeper twice in search of a lead.  Madrid almost scored before the break but Karim Benzema's effort was ruled offside after a lengthy VAR review. Salah’s first appearance in European club football’s showpiece game came to an agonisingly premature end in Kyiv four years ago. The Egypt forward made a tearful first-half exit after suffering a shoulder injury in a challenge with Real defender Sergio Ramos, who was accused of cynically slamming his opponent into the turf.
